Professor Mimi Samuel is an Associate Professor of Lawyering Skills and Associate Director of the Legal Writing Program for the Seattle University School of Law. Seattle’s Legal Writing Program has been consistently ranked as the first or second in the country by U.S. News & World Reports. Professor Samuel has conducted numerous training sessions for judges, magistrates, lawyers, and paralegals in the United States and abroad. She has also she developed and taught the first legal writing course in Sri Lanka. Prior to joining Seattle University, Professor Samuel practiced civil litigation for eight years in law firms in Washington, D.C. and San Francisco. Professor Samuel has her undergraduate and law degrees from Georgetown University.
