Karen Owens is a director in the Bankruptcy and Insolvency group of Ashby & Geddes. Karen represents corporate debtors, foreign representatives, creditors’ committees, examiners, and various other creditor constituencies in reorganization and liquidation proceedings including bondholders, liquidators, secured and unsecured creditors, preference defendants, and acquirers of distressed assets. Karen currently serves as Secretary and Treasurer of the Delaware Bankruptcy American Inn of Court, a professional organization dedicated to the mission of fostering excellence in professionalism, ethics, civility, and legal skills within the bankruptcy community of Delaware. She is an editor and regular contributor to The Delaware Bankruptcy Insider, a blog designed to bring readers a comprehensive summary of the latest Delaware corporate bankruptcy news and rulings. Karen also is a regular presenter for the Delaware State Bar Association on the topic of fundamental bankruptcy litigation skills.
