In this practical webinar, you’ll stay up to date on the new drone regulations, including Pennsylvania’s first set of criminal penalties for the unlawful use of unmanned aircraft.
In the last four years, global sales of drones have more than quadrupled. In an age where the photography and real estate industries are leading the purchases of drones with pre-installed HD cameras, treating them like toys is no longer an option. Instead, many states have adopted some form of regulation about how drones are to be used within their jurisdictions. Up until the end of last year, Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) regulations governed in Pennsylvania. This changed however, with Act 78, signed into law by Governor Wolf in October 2018, and effective as of January 12, 2019.
Upon course completion, you will be able to:
- Identify where to find Pennsylvania’s newest law concerning drones
- Determine when and where to register your drone
- Recognize where you cannot fly your drone
- Determine how to plan flights for your drone
- Explore the legal role of privacy as it pertains to drone operations
- Describe criminal penalties for various conduct with drones
- Anticipate new legal issues in the application of this new law
