The last few weeks have seen seismic shifts in the COVID-19 workplace safety landscape. Below is a state-by-state summary of some of the most important changes (and continued requirements):
Rhode Island recently updated its Emergency Rules on Safe Activities Covered During the COVID-19 Emergency to provide that fully vaccinated individuals do not need to wear face coverings. The state also issued updated Masking Guidance for Businesses.
The Emergency Rules have also been revised to provide that employers no longer need provide employee training or implement plans.
Additionally, physical distancing in the workplace is no longer required, regardless of vaccination status.
