Massachusetts Update

The last few weeks have seen seismic shifts in the COVID-19 workplace safety landscape. Below is a state-by-state summary of some of the most important changes (and continued requirements):
On December 8, 2020, Massachusetts’ Governor Baker issued COVID-19 Order 58, which returns all Massachusetts municipalities to Phase 3, Step 1 COVID-19 Safety Rules. All activities and capacity allowances previously authorized are now withdrawn.
In response, the Massachusetts Office of Housing and Economic Development issued revised Sector-specific Mandatory Safety Standards, including offices and retail.
The order and revised safety standards took effect on December 13, 2020.
