The Dual Views of Internal Investigations: The Rearview Mirror & The Windshield – On-Demand

Original Recording Date: January 26th, 2016
Duration: 60 minutes

When conducting an internal investigation, it’s not enough to simply gather the facts and determine what happened and who was responsible. Today, companies are also expected to implement corrective measures that prevent future misconduct. In this practical webinar, you’ll receive step-by-step guidance on how to conduct a successful internal investigation. Among other things, you’ll learn answers to the following questions:

  • What counts as an “internal investigation?”
  • When is an internal investigation required?
  • Who should conduct the investigation?
  • Must investigations always be privileged and confidential?
  • What are the goals of internal investigations?
  • How can a company best use the results of an investigation?
  • Why is it important to focus on the historical events?
  • How can a company prevent or reduce recurrence?
  • What are the government’s expectations for internal investigations?
